What are you doing now?

I am currently a PhD student at the University of Southampton, and I am researching Neanderthal mortuary practices in Western Europe.

As part of my PhD, I have also…

  • Worked with the Faculty of Medicine’s Anatomical Sciences Laboratory
  • Taught a module called “The Rise and Fall of the Neanderthals” on the University’s Lifelong Learning programme
  • Undertaken several outreach events for school children

What did you do before?:

I have previously completed a Masters in Palaeolithic Archaeology and Human Origins at the University of Southampton. My dissertation focused on Neanderthal mortuary practices across the whole of Europe, which I continued onto PhD.

My undergraduate qualifications are from The Open University and the University of Southampton’s Lifelong Learning Programme.
